I am married to my best friend who also happens to be one hot red head!  We are living as expats in Asia with our five kiddos who are six of the hugest blessings in my world.

How have I been so blessed?  I wonder that often as I hang a new art project on the fridge, help with spelling words, and even as I cleaned up puke early tonight.  I am blessed to have a family…and burdened by all those who don’t.

The only thing better than homeschooling our kids is teaching art at our local orphanage. The children I teach and care for have changed me.  When I hear them laugh over an art project in my class, when they call me “white momma” and hold my hand for just a minute longer – it helps me to see the heart of my Savior like I never would have before.  They are teaching me to love deeply and in ways I didn’t think possible.

I am on a mission to love one child at a time, to teach others that the kids who fill the orphanages are just normal little kids who are hoping and praying for a family to call their own, to show folks that if our family can adopt (we are average people who are not rich) then maybe they can adopt too.   So here is a window into our family.  Welcome!
